The training will teach an organized framework to treat this population effectively. This is Gary's 2-day intensive workshop that was recorded in Iceland in 2024.

- How neuroplasticity works both for and against people in pain and with chronic health conditions, and how to apply the principles of neuroplasticity for pro-health change.
- How the stress/threat response system is integral to and often at the center of the development of chronic pain and chronic health conditions.

- And, how pain and health conditions perpetuate and exacerbate co-existing conditions.
- How Polyvagal Theory relates to chronic pain conditions and how to use this information to reduce and relieve pain states.
- How to fully utilize the EMDR Pain Protocol.
- How to maximize the application of the EMDR Standard Protocol with this population.
- Other nervous system driven interventions for relief and recovery.
- How to reduce and abate pain states and assist clients to recover physiologically and functionally.

What are the details?
PREREQUISITE: This is an advanced training for Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Counselors and other licensed professionals trained in EMDR. All participants are required to have completed EMDR Basic Training.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: This training program is approved for 10 EMDRIA credits and meets the Texas requirements for 10 Continuing Education Units for Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Marriage and Family Counselors. Please check with your state or province for the specific requirements of your area/professional license. Certificates of completion with EMDRIA credits with training approval number will be provided to all those who complete the training.

- Complete training manual which includes all slides, scripted protocols, and handouts to guide you in treating your clients.
- 10 video modules, each between 30-90 minutes in length, which include lecture and discussion of theory, neurobiology, and interventions, including demonstrations of protocols and interventions.
- Additional videos of Questions and Answers.
- A brief, 5 question multiple choice exam after most video modules (with multiple attempts to get passing score of 60%).
- A course assessment survey/evaluation at the end.
- A Certification of Completion automatically sent to you by email with successful completion of program.
- Please complete all modules within 90 days. After 90 days, Gary Brothers, LCSW cannot guarantee the availability of all materials on the current electronic learning platform.
